General information for double-bit lock decoders

There is no "tool that would open ANY lock". Therefore, there cannot be a universal tool for this kind of tools! The user must know the cylinder lock he is trying to open. Therefore, some knowledge of locksmithing is required.

These opening tools work without the use of force. Apply a medium amount of tension. The tool positions each of the pins of the double-bit lock to a certain height. This allows the striker pin to move forward. This happens until it "adopts" the position that corresponds to that of the original key. By doing this, you obtain the profile of one half of the key. To obtain the other half, the process must be repeated for the second half of the profile. Finally, a complete double-bit profile is obtained, with which the lock can be opened and closed the same way as the original key.
