The functioning of this tool is very similar to that of electropicks. When using the manual pick gun, pulling the trigger will cause single very strong blows. These blows are transmitted on the pin tumblers by the pick blade. This causes the “pool”- or “snooker”-effect. Being successful with this tool requires a certain amount of talent.

The pick gun has been developed for the American market a long time ago. For this reason, pulling the trigger causes the pick blade to strike upwards (hanging pin tumblers)! When working with cylinder locks as generally used in Europe (standing pin tumblers), this means the pick gun has to be turned upside down. The pick gun is a relatively simple tool but there are professionals that cannot "live" without it!

The replacement picks for electropicks can also be used in the pick gun.

  • 1 Pick Gun
